Oatmeal and banana porridge

Oatmeal is a very popular food when it comes to weight loss diet plans. It is rich in dietary fibre that aids digestion and also a great source of protein and iron. Oatmeal contains fibre beta-glucan which is know to aid in weight loss by reducing the levels of bad cholesterol. Besides, the high fibre content, and magnesium in oatmeal is know to stabilize blood sugar and reduce the risk of type 2 diabetes.

Directions
1In a cooking pan, take about ½ a cup of water. Add about 3-4 tablespoons of oatmeal and cook stir for about 2 minutes.
2Add a cup of milk and ½ teaspoon cardamom powder.
3Add chopped banana, or chickoo or any other fruit of your choice.
4Cook stir the mixture for about 3-4 minutes, until it forms into a thick porridge. Serve hot.
