Mr India 2015

The wait is finally over, India’s biggest bodybuilding championship, Mr India 2015 is scheduled to be held from 27th February 2015 to 1st March 2015. This is the 8th Senior National Body Building Championship, 3rd Women’s & 2nd Men’s Sports Physique Championship. Every year this event is organized by IBBF (Indian Body Building Federation) where top athletes from all over India compete for the ultimate title of Mr India. IBBF is recognized by the Ministry of youth affairs and sports, Government of India. Being a national level event, it attracts bodybuilders from all the states of India for this competition. The one who wins this competitions also becomes the best bodybuilder in India.

This year the event is being organized at Gandhidham, Kutch, Gujarat. Hence, Gujarat Bodybuilding Association will he taking care of arranging the event. Apart from men’s bodybuilding, the event also has Indian Women s and Men s Physique or fitness championship. This is different from bodybuilding contest where-in the judging criteria are aesthetics, personality and presentation of the participants.

• Bodybuilders will compete in the following ten weight category.
• Up to & inclusive 55 Kg
• Up to & inclusive 60 Kg
• Up to & inclusive 65 Kg
• Up to & inclusive 70 Kg
• Up to & inclusive 75 Kg
• Up to & inclusive 80 Kg
• Up to & inclusive 85 Kg
• Up to & inclusive 90 Kg
• Above 90 Kg & below 100 Kg
• Above 100 Kg

Five winners will be selected in each of these weight category. All the number one winners in each category will them compete for the ultimate champion of the champion title. Prizes for all the category in Senior Nationals will be as follows

• 1st Prize : Rs.50,000/-
• 2nd Prize : Rs.40,000/-
• 3rd Prize : Rs.30,000/-
• 4th Prize : Rs.20,000/-
• 5th Prize : Rs.10,000/-

Other awards for the events are as follows:

• Overall Champion : Rs.4,00,000/-
• Runner Up : Rs.2,00,000/-
• 1st Runner Up : Rs.1,00,000/-
• Best Poser : Rs.50,000/-
• Most Improved Body Builder : Rs.50,000/-

• 1st Prize : Rs.50,000/-
• 2nd Prize : Rs.40,000/-
• 3rd Prize : Rs.30,000/-
• 4th Prize : Rs.20,000/-
• 5th Prize : Rs.10,000/-

Last year this event was a grand success when it was organised in Pune. Murali Kumar from Indian Navy became the overall champion and defended his title. This year there is lots of competition and the event is going to be very exciting. We expect a similar performance at this year’s event as well. Moreover this will be the biggest bodybuilding event of the year and you should not miss it. We hope to see all the fans at the competition.
