Even though the media kept us busy as we dealt with the changes of the bodybuilding calendar season throughout 2021, many strength sports fans could not wait for this year’s calendar. Finally, the anticipation is over as one can check at betting-sites.in. The best part is that it reflects normalcy as contests return either from sabbaticals or their home bases. So here is a look at the Men’s Open division bodybuilding calendar for 2022.

March 3rd to 6th 2022, Columbus, OH

The season kicks off in March with the Arnold Classic in Tier 1. Considered the second biggest sport in Men’s Open division bodybuilding, the Arnold Classic takes the lead massively this year, with stars like William Bonac, Brandon Curry, and Cedric McMillan showcasing their talent among other 11 competitors in Columbus, OH. Boston, MA also has the Boston Pro on the 12th of March 2022 in Tier 4.

April 22nd to 24th 2022, Location TBD

The Arnold Classic Brazil is another big contest returning on the 22nd of April after two years of absence. Some of the champions in the contest include Steve Kuclo, Curry, and Juan Morel.

May 14th, 2022, Indianapolis, IN

May will kick off with the springtime tradition, the Indy Pro in Tier 4, which will occur in the Midwest on the 14th of May. The contest will be followed by the New York Pro in Tier 2, which will be returning to its home state, Florida, after two years on the 21st of May. The New York Pro is considered the third-largest title in bodybuilding. Some of its previous winners include Lain Valliere, Nick Walker, and Sergio Oliva Jr.

June 4th, 2022, Toronto, Canada

Bodybuilding contests will start with the Toronto Pro in Tier 2 in the summer in the Great White North. Joel Thomas was the winner of the contest in 2021. The final week of the month, from the 25th to the 26th of June, will also have another bodybuilding contest on Tier 3 in San Juan, Puerto Rico. The Puerto Rico Pro contest has Akim Williams as the 2021 winner.

July, The Busiest Bodybuilding Month

July will have five bodybuilding contests with athletes competing in four different countries. The first contest, the Orlando Pro in Tier 4, will be in Orlando, FL, on the 2nd of July. The second contest, the Empro Pro in Tier 4, will be in Spain on the 3rd of July. The third contest, the Mr. Big Evolution Pro in Tier 3, will be in Portugal from 8th to 10th July.

The fourth contest, the Vancouver Pro in Tier 4, will be in Vancouver, BC, Canada, on the 17th of July. The last contest, the Chicago Pro in Tier 4, will be returning to Chicago, IL, from the 22nd to 23rd of July. The Chicago champion in 2021 is Hunter Labrada. The cities where the contest will be held in Spain and Portugal have not been decided.

August features a Ronnie Coleman Pro Men’s Open Lineup for the first time

August will host three contests in the Southern United States, including the Tampa Pro, Texas Pro, and the Ronnie Coleman Pro. The contests will be in tiers 2, 4, and 4. The dates for the contests will be 5th to 6th, 12th to 13th, and 20th of August, respectively. Mr. Olympia, the 8-time champion of the Ronnie Coleman Pro, will be there to crown the winner.

September 24th to 25th 2022, Birmingham, UK

The second Arnold Classic UK is the only contest held in September, with Nathan De Asha qualifying for the 2022 Olympia since he is the first champion of the show.

October 7th to 9th 2022, Stateline, NV

Like September, October only has one contest called the Legion Sports Fest in Tier 3. In 2021, 212 Olympia winner Shaun Clarida brought a lot of buzz to the contest after the open victory.

November

The month will start with the Europa Pro in Tier 2 on the 6th in Spain, followed by the Romania Muscle Fest in Tier 3 on the 12th and 13th in Bucharest, Romania. The final contest in November will be the Big Man’s Pro in tier 4 on the 27th in Spain.

The Olympia qualifications for 2022 will end with the Romania Muscle Fest, but the Big Man’s Pro opens the qualifications for the 2023 Olympia contest.

December

The calendar year will close with the Olympia weekend starting on the 16th and ending on the 18th of December in Las Vegas, NV. Mamdouh “Big Ramy” Elssbiay was the winner in 2020 and 2022; he will be on stage to fight for his title.

Conclusion

The contests are 21 in total and held in 7 different countries, with the United States hosting 12 contests. All these contests have Olympia ramifications. Keep in mind that the schedule is subject to change due to regulations or additions.
