Big Flex Whey Protein Supplement Review and Price List
BigFlex is the latest company in India to start selling supplement products. Its brand ambassador and promoter is “The Great Khali” and so its tag line goes as ” Flex it like The Great Khali”. The Big Flex Enterprise is the part of a 2000 crore global conglomerate, Parijat Enterprises. Other then great khali, the company has ropped in several top athletes as its brand ambassador such as Suhas Khmakar and Malik Israr.
Nutrition Profile:
Coming to the review of Big Flex Whey Protien, It provides 22 gram of protein per serving. This is a good amount of protein in each serving even though there are other brands that provide around 24 to 25 grams of protein per serving as well. The serving size is 30 grams and a container of 2 Kg give you 33 servings. This means that there is 73.3 % of protein in the bottle you get.
Total carbs is 1.5 gram and total fat is 1.2 gram in each serving. There is no indication of added quantity of BCCA or Glutamine which a common in most protein supplement brands today. Hence Big Flex Whey protein may be disappointing in this aspect as you do not really know how much BCCA or Glutamine you get per serving.
Taste:
The product is currently available only in chocolate flavour. This flavour tastes good when mixed with milk. But the taste is not so great when mixed with water. Also there is no other choice for other flavour which may be a big drawback for taste conscious people.
Effectiveness:
Although this product is new, we spoke to several people that are using this product to ask about its effectiveness. Well most of the guys are not very impressed by the results that they are seeing. Some feel that they were getting much better results with their previous supplement. While there were few other that saw some good gains with this product. Its just initial days, hence it would need more time to see how effective the product is. Currently it does not seems to impress much.
Quality:
The product seems to be of good quality, they claim to use state of art manufacturing process to retain the active whey protein peptides and micro fractions that help in deliver better results. Also since the product is new there are no duplicates or counterfeit products in the market.
Price/Value:
Although its slightly cheaper that other top selling supplement products in india. Its not a true value for money. MyProtein which is imported ( and hence import duty added to the price) is still cheaper that this product.
