Odisha titled as Team Champions at Eastern India Bodybuilding Championship

7^th edition of the biggest bodybuilding and fitness event in East India concluded just recently and the results are more than just surprising. The prestigious event – Eastern India Bodybuilding & Women Fitness Championship 2017 by IBBF was held in Assam on 07^th and 08^th of January 2017. The women fitness event took a historic turn when a mother of three, Paklu Taipodia, bagged the title of Eastern India’s Miss Fitness 2017; giving Arunachal Pradesh, its first maiden victory. Now, we have got our hands on yet another interesting piece of information. While Arunachal Pradesh is celebrating its maiden victory, we have Odisha – who will be remembered as the ‘Team Champion’ of this event. The state athletes have performed marvellously claiming 4 Gold, 1 Silver and 4 Bronze.

The team was accompanied by their coach, Babuli Swain. Two high ranked Odisha Officials, Bhabani Sanka Sahu and the Odisha Bodybuilding Association General Secretary – Prasanna Mahasuar were among the jury members.
